My little man

Liam, you absolutely amaze me. Everyday is an adventure with you.

Every morning (when you call out to your daddy to come get you) I enter your room and receive the sweetest sounding HI, and then you continue to ask for daddy.

You talk about the "Blue Car" all day. Everyday. You ask to go drive in it as I am putting you down for your nap, when you wake up you are asking if we are going in the blue car, when I say Daddy is at work you ask if he took the blue car. I think you get the picture.

When I say we are going to take the dogs for a walk you say "leash" and you run to get it and your shoes.

You have taken a fondness to Kingsley, and you ask where he is all day. You demand I call him into your room before nap time so you can hug him.

You like to pick the strangest things to sleep with. Two little cars are the usual choice. But on the best days you choose to fall asleep holding a book.

You point out every car you see on the road while driving. You point out every car you see on T.V. And if you know that in the book we are reading there is a picture of a car coming up you try to hurry through the book to get to that page and then you don't want to turn past it.

While reading books you do the same if there is a horse, from that page on it is "horse, horse" and every time I try to turn the page you scream. Some books don't ever get finished thanks to horses and cars.

You ask to read books everyday.

You color or draw every day. You take it very seriously. Our tub gets decorated with washable crayons and our coffee table gets decorated with permanent pen.

You ask for Chocolate Milk everyday. "Choco Mill"

Hats are a big thing for you. If a toy has a non-removable hat, it is the end of the world for you. You love it when daddy wears a hat and you love putting hats on yourself.

You try to sing along to songs. And you dance your little heart out.

When we walk out of our front door you always turn to look back inside and you wave and yell bye bye.

When we get out of the car you always say " Bye Car" and wave sadly.

You still demand to be rocked to sleep. I can't even let you scream, for fear of what the lady across the hall will do about it.

I tend to smother you with kisses throughout the day, and you usually respond with "no tiss, no tiss"

And the best thing about you right now, at different times throughout the day you take my face in both of your hands and you kiss me all over. This totally makes up for all of the times you scream at me to stop kissing you.

And even though I complain about having to still rock you, I just might every now and then, hold you a few minutes longer than need be. Staring down into your beautiful baby face, and trying to hold onto these moments with everything that I have.

Maine

We have been settling in and experiencing New England, which is fantastic. And there will be more about all of the little things we have done and seen at a later date ( I promise not later as in, three months ;) ).
Last week we went to the very top of Maine to visit Sam's family. Here is just a few pics of Liam while we were there.
This was Liam's 19th flight. And apparently he is aware of the routine of it all. He helped pack his suitcase. He thought three swimsuits, two hats, and 5 pairs of shoes would be necessary for our quick visit up there. And then when we entered the security line, he proclaimed SHOES!!! and began to try to take off his sandals. He is a compliant air traveler at such a young age.

Daigles

Trains. Liam's favorite.
Modeling Me Mere's dancing shoes.

We arrived up there with Liam in the midst of a terribly butchered haircut. So Me Mere took us over to her salon to have it fixed up a bit. Total perk to Maine haircuts..... $3. Serious.

Dreaming as we flew home.

Three

It has been awhile, but it is time for another three from the D3

Three exciting events coming up in Liam's life ~
1. In a week we are headed out to Hawaii! I am super excited about heading back there with our little man, you can look back at our first visit to Maui with him last year. This time we are going to Kauai. It is my favorite island so I am just itching to get there. I am also super nervous to take the little man over there and you can refer to that same post for why that would be. Here is to hoping that he sleeps at night, enjoys the beach, and that we have a wonderful time as a family.

2. Liam is actually going to become a Bostonian in just a few short weeks. We are packing up our little family of three and moving East. This is something that we have been looking forward to for a long time and we are excited for the adventure that we are about to go on. We have no idea how long we will live there, but hopefully Liam gets a chance to experience and enjoy the amazing seasons, the fantastical Italian food, and hoping that he somehow misses out on the "pahking the cah"accent. ;)

3. And saving number three for last because of course three is the best of these numbers. Until there was four.
Liam is about to become a big brother. In just a few 6 months our family will have one more little heart to love, one more little soul to care for. I already know that Liam is going to cherish this baby so much. I can't even begin to imagine how much bigger my heart is going to swell when I meet our little 4.
This is 4. I believe this picture does not begin to give his/her little inch and a 1/2 self, justice.

He is nearly 17 months old.

He loves yogurt, spaghetti, olives, burritos, and strawberries.

dancing, spinning, stomping and marching to any type of beat that he hears.

Blowing bubbles from his bubble bath.

He says hot , cold, dog, cat, fish, horse, cow, moo, no, yes, Lindsey, bath, milk, juice, this, that, please, car, truck, ball, shoes, socks, pig, Grammie.

He can identify all of his body parts.

On most accounts he can identify pictures of animals. His favorites seem to be Elephants and Giraffes. In fact, the above picture is from Liam visiting the San Diego Zoo and this was his reaction to the Giraffes. They were the only animal to get this kind of hand clapping welcome!

He is obsessed with Horses.

He loves cuddling with his mommy.

He loves having his belly rubbed.

He loves talking on the phone.

He loves driving in the car with the windows rolled down, and asks for them to be rolled down at least once during every car ride.

He cries every night when he has to get out of the bathtub.

He cannot resist walking into a bathroom without turning on the bathtub faucet.

He sits (while still fully clothed) on his toilet and grunts.

He tells you when he has pooped and asks to be changed.

He asks for his nap time.

He loves being loved on.

today alone...

Some days you amaze me even more than others, if that could even be possible. But today is one of those days..so far all before 11:30 you have said penis, while touching the correct body part. You have grabbed the remote control and pushed record when Olivia your favorite TV show came on. When it was time for breakfast you had me pick you up and you pointed to the cabinet for a bowl, and then picked out which box of cereal you would eat, and then you fed yourself your whole bowl. (we do not eat cereal every morning, so I was impressed that you knew what you wanted today, you went with apple jacks). You ate a little bite of a dog treat. I turned on the faucet to wash your mouth out but you put your hand under the stream of water and brought your wet hand into your mouth to rinse yourself. While playing mega blocks with your daddy he asked you to go across the room and pick up the blue block, and even though it was in the midst of red and green and yellow you picked up the one blue block and brought it to him. You said orange for the first time. The phone started ringing and you ran to grab it and started pushing buttons to answer it. You also attempted your first real nose pickin' :)

I love you my incredible child.

his long locks are gone....

They won't be calling you little girl anymore.

As hard as this was for me to do, I did it for you baby.

You're welcome.

You are the handsomest little man. And I love you.

And yes, I have the whole haircut saved in a ziploc bag.

I will show it to the first girl you bring home. Just to let her know I am crazy.

You

You kiss your board books over and over.
This makes mommy happy, and gives her a hope that you might love books as much as she.

You ask if your food is going to be hot, as you touch it with your fingers.

You still vacuum incessantly. You have your own little red dirt devil, which you would sleep with if we let you.

You put yourself to sleep. Finally.

You love any toy that makes noise. The more obnoxious the better.

You dance and twirl even when there is not any music.

You scream through every nail clipping, to my horror.

You love hugs.

You understand power cords, and you try to put them in the wall, to my horror.

You love outside.

You greet your daddy everyday at the sliding glass door as he comes up the driveway.

You prefer to feed yourself with a spoon or fork.

You love eating popcorn as we walk through Target.

And the best thing about you is when you get hurt you look to me to comfort you, when you get excited about something you look to me to see if I am excited too, when you try to postpone bedtime you look to me to save you from it, when you ride in the car you look at me through your rear mirror and smile at me the whole car ride.
